Hackets Castle, close to Tuam, was home of the Hackett family
at first; later of the Kirwans after the Cromwellian
Castle is in the barony of Clare, five miles south of Tuam,
which the O'Connors made the capital of Ireland in the 13th
- Shop Street, Tuam, County Galway. The Tuam Mill Museum is the only
preserved corn mill in the West of Ireland.
